Originals!

I got a huge iced coffee, one of those tiny energy-in-a-bottle thingies and some sunshine when walking around the neighborhood.

I think I'm *slightly* more awake!

The title of this post has two meanings...first, I owe the charming bidders (and whomever loyally reads "Adventures in Panties," the original photos from my latest update.

But first, let me offer you the "director's cut" of the video I uploaded to YouTube (for your eyes only!) -
And, naturally, here are the unedited photos from the auction -

(I admit being a little paranoid about covering the world's smallest hint of pubic hair, but I don't want to get kicked off Flickr!)

(Amaya, back in school, didn't take this second set, by the way.
New roommates = New photographers!)

(My personal favorite!)

I added a surprise element to the auction - determining the next item in the mini-progressive format by rolling my dirty dice! I'm a little bit worried how it will go - I'm not sure if people will be into the idea of not knowing exactly what they're getting next!

But you know me...I love a surprise!

Now, let me tell you about something I'm not so crazy about...

The above link takes you to my "me" page on ebanned - at the bottom, I've very clearly stated a disclaimer forbidding reproduction of my work without my explicit, written permission.

Yes, I consider auctions my "work," exactly as much as I consider an installation piece, essay or short story. They require the same time commitment and creativity as anything else I do!

While the majority of theft of intellectual property occurring in the world of panty-selling regards images, I've found my auction format, style, and even text is misappropriated.

Not cool.

I've gradually watched the perpetrator (I'm not naming names) pluck from my auctions for a while. At first, I played it off, thinking "imitation is the sincerest flattery."

But it's gotten to the point where I'm scrolling through this person's auction, fuming, and my roommate looks over my shoulder and says, "that's you, right?" I've brought up the notion of "imitation" a few times in my new auction, hoping this person, or potential bidders, will get the hint. I really hate bad-mouthing other girls and try to keep a positive attitude...

But this person's last auction really grated on my nerves! Particularly because I recently re-vamped my "Me" page with freshly written text. Apparently, the seller ignored my copyright warning - and plucked from the rest of my brand new text!

Some of you may know, I do a lot of freelancing writing. And I'm very familiar with copyright law.

Good artists know their rights.

Most people aren't aware that you no longer need to register with the US Copyright office for a work to be considered your intellectual property. The purpose of registering is mainly to establish a back-up, dated record of ownership, should it be be disputed. Here's a helpful guide from a law-firm that answers a lot of common questions.

(Side note - ArtFlaw lists five prominent lawsuits involving artists. That of David Wojnarowicz -

- Best known for the Hide/Seek Exhibition controversy at the Smithsonian, is particularly interesting!)

I'm proud of my work and ideas and I can't stand seeing them adopted inappropriately for profit. I'm crossing my fingers this seller may fall upon this information and "cease and desist" her plagiarism!

Although I've never had any personal experiences with having photos stolen, I have caught "word on the street" (or, internet cables, rather) about a seller on ebanned who seems to be posing as something like four different girls, using photos swiped off the internet!

I've seen some of these photos and I see them as obviously faux. The images are very clearly taken by professional photographers and portray professional models - they may as well be stock images!

(Not actual image - I just grabbed this off Google!)

But, apparently, a few honest buyers have fallen for it! What's extremely upsetting, however, is whomever is behind the scam, has admitted it! And refuses to do anything!

It sort of stinks that panty/fetish-selling should have so many examples of blatantly poor business ethics. Think about it. It's may be a big step for someone with uncommon sexual desires to finally explore them and don't deserve to be conned.

Misappropriating others work, aside from fair use (and none of these examples constitute as fair use!) really bugs me! I hate seeing honest people (not just myself) screwed!

(Unless it's in the good way!)

Back to Business!

I'm whipping up a quick post today because it's getting late and I've got a LOT of catching up to do tomorrow morning!

Updates, rapid fire -

1.) Reconciled with boyfriend (no longer sad!)
2.) Bought much-needed tripod (quicker photos!)
3.) Rented room in apartment (one more to go!)

The final guests just left our gallery and I'm exhausted from five days of stress and insomnia. And it shows...

Acne.

So lame.

I'm used to going to working til 6,7,8am and hoping to get to bed early tonight, therefore allowing me to finally catch up on the multitude of panty projects and upcoming art shows that fell into neglect this week.

Tomorrow starts with a long morning of returning emails, then fixing my printer (it'll be nice to be awake during Canon's customer service hours), and crafting packages.

It's going to be a looooooong day...

Since I've been moping in pajamas for days, I slipped on my yellow thong to get back in the spirit -

It's actually sort of comfortable!

Okay Day

It's obvious "Okay Day" should be a new holiday.

Despite the illness that has laid me up (and not gotten me laid) I've had for the past few days, I still had a presentation due early this
morning. And worked myself into a tizzy last night preparing it!

I woke up feeling like complete crap. But, a real trooper, I hauled my ass downtown to the studio, completely nauseous.

Here's a SHOCKING video of me on the job...

Wait...on second thought (my second thought being, I don't want anyone to hear my work-time, non-sexy voice), I just captured a few of the stills.

This is particularly amazing...

...and this is how I felt when my presentation wouldn't play...

Actually, that's just a weird screenshot. And my video did play. At super speed. But, in the end, not so horrible after all!

Apparently, the client liked my proposal and the sculpture commission (hence, the proposal) may be successful!

 Boring, I know...

BUT WAIT!

Then, a series of exciting events occurred!

1.) I got new memory on my computer! So, now it doesn't suck (as much)!
2.) I unexpectedly ran into my beau when I was with my father - and no drama ensued!
3.) Installed new internet! It sucks!

PLUS...
(I know this is a lot of text to handle at once...photos at the end!)

Because I'm annoyed at always being broke and having to hustle to get by every day, I decided to go BACK TO SCHOOL!

As in, another degree...

I'm considering journalism...hmm...

Maybe I could wear this outfit on the beat -

This costume is ambiguously titled, "Executive Lady," at my favorite site for ridiculous sexy outfits, 3Wishes. Sometimes I like to dress as a secretary for fun, so this would fit right into my wardrobe!

Speaking of which...

In honor of feeling somewhat better, I actually took some photos for the first time in days! You see, while in a feverish state, I got a few packages - the panties I ordered! Please ignore any lingering pallor...

This is a TEENY-TINY Victoria's Secret thong! I actually only started shopping at VS a few months ago when I realized their lingerie actually fit me really well. This little thong fits, but I get the feeling it's intended for ladies who shave!

I thought the "woman-somehow-doing-splits-atop-of-impossibly-large-champagne-glass" style was sort of cute, too!

And I put back on the controversial thigh-highs from last week -

In case your wondering about the design on my over-sized men's tank top - take a closer look!

Artist-designed!

Plus, remember those "sweet cheeks" panties from a few days ago? I finally tried them on!

Be back tomorrow! For now, cucumber sandwich (bedtime snack)!

Actually going to be early tonight...I mean, this morning!

Since I really need to get some rest or I'm going to crash and burn (ever since I adopted the new auction style I've had insane demand) I'm going to try to make today's post as short as possible!

I only slept 3 hours yesterday before being woken by my landlord calling, wanting to rent! Which I thought I could afford until I realized what I thought was Illinois Cash assistance approval was, in fact, denial. No! No NOOOOOO!

Luckily, panty sales have been at an all-time high! And the sock fans finally figured out they weren't dealing with some naive amateur, but the true master of filthy socks!

After dating a sock fetishist for 4 years, I KNOW how to dirty a sock! This makes me very happy because I sort of get a kick out of talking down to sock boys - odd, because I'm usually super nice and polite! Unfortunately, I only own one other pair of pale colored socks - the same variety, in tan. The other light color pair I had went very fast -

But no matter what I do, people are still trying to buy my shoes off me! Despite the disclaimers! I mentioned that I would be willing to sell them for a replacement - finally, I'm getting replies that actually MAKE sense (i.e., give me yours, I'll buy you a new pair).

Every time I do a sock auction, I get tons of emails for people who want my SHOES (which I never mentioned)...in exchange for a new pair! And it's hard to explain the shoes I buy are either custom-designed or impossible to get after a particular season - just like designer clothers!

But this is a lot of talk a very little images...which is, of course, WHAT THE PEOPLE WANT!

Oh, I found another photo of the panties I'd like to offer up, next:

I haven't checked the poll I put up...VOTE, dammit! I need to know!

But I really want to veg out and go to sleep early - got to wake up and call eight million government agencies! And figure out how to get more RAM, which is apparently what's slowing down my computer.

I could use a little more "ram" myself?!

That's a sneak peek of my new "about me" page, yet to come!

But since the yellow thong is in it's final day, and I was too lazy to photoshop stars over my pubic hair to put hotter images on ebanned, but, naturally, my blog is the REAL place for ACTION!

And, of course...

(I've been waiting 30 minutes for this to load.)

In a race against time!

Just time for a short post today - I fell asleep at noon and am in a race against time to prepare for the exhibition tomorrow! Still HOURS of video editing left to do! At least I've got most of my film shorts downloaded - [update - tried to put one on here - my internet sucks. Why does it take hours to post a minute-long video? I'll try again, later.]

Tons of GORGEOUS images...vintage ads, mostly...

Okay, maybe that's a little more creepy than "gorgeous." But I found tons of vintage drawings of debutantes that are really quite stunning and I like the idea of juxtaposing their elegance with the eerie quality of early advertising geared at women. Compare this -

To This -

Pretty crazy, huh?

On an unrelated note, why is it that when you're in a huge rush for time, everything goes slower - Blogger execs, are you listening? Uploads take longer, software breaks, someone's always in the shower when you need it.

I was hoping to do a spicier panty-related post, but I've got to run. Subjects to come - (if I don't write about these, remind me!)
1. Opinions on the faux popularity of Hitachi's magic wand
2. Mixed feelings on Victoria's Secret (oh, that adorable white, shirred-back panty on my wishlist - another topic of moral grappling) is not $25.00)
3. More riveting talk about women in advertising and (hopefully) vintage panty pics! Remember the first Maidenform ads? Or watch a lot of Mad Men?

I've got to get moving - I'm slipping into these silky, pink-polka dot panties once I get out of the shower (on reserve for a lucky gentleman)!

And since I'm in a rush (why I decided to go on a tangent about vintage ad campaigns, I don't know), no time for an extended photo party! Instead, I'm putting this photo up - I think it's my favorite shot of me ever taken! Matching black lace bra and thong!

Initially, this set was reserved for someone to purchase by pick-up (I no longer do these, DON'T ASK!) but he seems to have disappeared. I considered putting the set up for auction, but there seems to be an overall dislike for black panties. Misguided, if you ask me! Actually, future post -

4. Kammi discusses why black panties are great.

More soon!
