Okay Day

It's obvious "Okay Day" should be a new holiday.

 Despite the illness that has laid me up (and not gotten me laid) I've had for the past few days, I still had a presentation due early this 
morning. And worked myself into a tizzy last night preparing it!


I woke up feeling like complete crap. But, a real trooper, I hauled my ass downtown to the studio, completely nauseous.

Wait...on second thought (my second thought being, I don't want anyone to hear my work-time, non-sexy voice), I just captured a few of the stills.

Apparently, the client liked my proposal and the sculpture commission (hence, the proposal) may be successful! 

 Boring, I know...

BUT WAIT!

Then, a series of exciting events occurred! 

1.) I got new memory on my computer! So, now it doesn't suck (as much)!

2.) I unexpectedly ran into my beau when I was with my father - and no drama ensued!

3.) Installed new internet! It sucks!

Because I'm annoyed at always being broke and having to hustle to get by every day, I decided to go BACK TO SCHOOL! 

As in, another degree...

I'm considering journalism...hmm...

This costume is ambiguously titled, "Executive Lady," at my favorite site for ridiculous sexy outfits, 3Wishes. Sometimes I like to dress as a secretary for fun, so this would fit right into my wardrobe!

Speaking of which...

In honor of feeling somewhat better, I actually took some photos for the first time in days! You see, while in a feverish state, I got a few packages - the panties I ordered! Please ignore any lingering pallor...

This is a TEENY-TINY Victoria's Secret thong! I actually only started shopping at VS a few months ago when I realized their lingerie actually fit me really well. This little thong fits, but I get the feeling it's intended for ladies who shave!

I thought the "woman-somehow-doing-splits-atop-of-impossibly-large-champagne-glass" style was sort of cute, too!

Thinking about Debutantes

I really hate it when people complain that they're tired - I mean, come on? Who isn't tired?

But I am seriously tired!

I just spent HOURS working on a film collage for my exhibition...tomorrow! And thought I was ready to hit the hay...

But of course, that didn't happen!

After spending FOREVER working on this video piece, I'm still not sleeping! I just got too excited looking at websites, and messing around with my panty auction, then working on this blog, that I know have to wake up in 3...yes 3 hours and cook/video edit for two days straight!  I'd put up photos of the ADDITIONAL menu items I'm making - I'm an expert cook if you haven't noticed - but internet...is...show...


(and they say the bohemian life is easy!)

I've been going through tons of vintage ads from the 40's through 60's - they're beautiful, but sometimes a little creepy!

I'm really excited to wear a debutante gown, myself - I was initially going to perform as "barefoot and pregnant," but decided to appear (it's somewhat play-like) and a Southern debutante who'd just been dumped - crying into her pillow with her make-up smeared! Hope I'm not too exchausted to stay on my feet!


Plus, my roommate Amaya was all "in the zone" for a photoshoot today - and I'm really looking to get another ebanned auction up, ASAP! I'm also working to get a photostream up here of whatever panties I'm currently prancing around in (and selling!)...except that took like, four hours to figure out and isn't done, yet!


Well, at least here are two more of the photos from these beautiful pink lace vintage-style panties...you can't see much, but I love the idea of getting undressed, down to your panties, and still in your heels, lipstick and jewelry!

Kammi has a Bad Day

Well, I woke up in a perfectly good mood and everything's been downhill from there. Did you ever have one of those days when you just felt curling up in bed and going back to sleep?

 (I'm embarrassed to admit I don't know if this is a Lichtenstein or not!)

Aside from the usual roommate troubles (one of them treats me like a teenager despite the enormous age gap, another treats me like a parent who will pick up after him), I went to a meeting with my art collective and all of my ideas were basically tossed out the window. And the were great ideas!

 

And the whole time I was starving! Luckily, I had enough money on my Link card (yes, I get food stamps - I'm not ashamed) to get a few food items - I'm saving up for a big exhibition this Saturday. I really hate complaining about being poor, but the whole grocery-shopping experience was sort of a downer. I live in a neighborhood with a lot of um...young, urban professionals and it's depressing to overhear conversations about goat cheese when you're putting back a 79 cent can of beans! 

And when I got home, all excited to hang out with my friend, Mike, he not only cancelled, but got pissed off and hung up on me! I had to stop myself from crying!

On the upside, my new computer (a graduation present) will be arriving on Friday! And I'm really excited for the exhibition! I'm designing the fliers myself and working on a video project for it - not to mention, doing all the catering! Does any of this look mouth-watering...?

 That's jalapeno-cheddar cornbread, lemon cream tarts and succotash! Ask me for the recipes!

I guess it's not all bad! I'm sure I'll wake up in the morning, good as new! Keep your fingers crossed!
